Go to College or Learn, Profit, & Invest Online?

I know you have probably heard this your whole life… work smarter, not harder.
But did you ever take it seriously? Did you ever stop and think, “what would be an easier way to do this?” “Do I have to work myself to death just to support my family?”
The thing is, we have also been told our whole life - Work hard in school, save your money, go to college.
Now, I am all about educating yourself, 100%. Learn as much as you possibly can BUT learn about the things you love to do!
I’ll get more into that in a bit, but right now, I want to talk about the whole “save money” and “go to college.”
In school, the things they should be teaching, they are NOT teaching.
Saving money is great… But how you save money and then what you do with it is the important thing.
What you need to be doing is saving money to
Invest. Invest. Invest.
Invest in yourself - in your business - in the courses you love - in education, to do the things you love.
Why? Good question! I can’t say it enough. Investing in your business is essentially investing in yourself. And guess what. When you invest in your business, you profit.
How hard is it to save and save and feel like you're getting nowhere?
I know the feeling quite well.
I used to do just that. Save all the money I got and then something comes up and have to take it out and use it… then I have to start all over again.
However, if I had saved up, put it towards my online business either through traffic, leads, or courses - that in turn would bring in more profit than what I had saved.
I am not kidding! Think smarter, not harder.
How do you think millionaires became and still remain millionaires?
Because they invest in themselves and their business - they take care of their money the right way. Then, and only then, they can start really saving. But they never stop investing their money into themselves.
As for college. Did you know that in 2022 and moving into 2023, more people without a college education are getting the jobs they want, building their own business, or making more money than those that have gone to college?
Yup.Because the ones that didn’t go to college have the experience and knowledge of the job they love. Or because companies are no longer just looking for “College degree” on their resume anymore. They are looking at experience, technical and digital skills, online presence, accomplishments, and self-taught skills.
I cannot express enough that educating yourself on investing, finances, stock, and savings through non-government companies is crucial. There are tons of books, videos, courses, on all of this.
During the pandemic, a lot of things changed, and people had to start teaching themselves through courses and videos. Those that had no choice but to find a way to make money while being stuck at home. All online.
So, for those that went to college, they now have competition with those that didn’t go to college.
What am I getting at? Learn how to do what you love through courses & videos online. So many people are turning rather than spending $20,000, $50,000, $100,000 to go to college. Of course, it is absolutely okay to go to college!
There is nothing wrong with it… I went to college! But guess what, I am still paying for it and unable to do anything with it. I have to have more college to be able to do what I had intended to do in the beginning, but things change - life changes, and now I am here. Doing what I love, and it did not take college. Just like a lot of things we love to do today!
Now obviously, there are some professions that you just can’t do online. You’re not going to get your doctorate by going to YouTube and watching a few videos. Sorry.
However, if you want to be a doctor or anything of that nature, then absolutely, GO FOR IT!
But if college is not for you, the opportunities are still endless! You can own your business - make money through blogging - make money by selling other people’s products or services. I mean, online is the place to be.
Going to school and working yourself to death is the life that the government wanted for us. That’s how they get paid.
But for most, we end up working until we can no longer walk, and then never get to live the life we wanted.
Until now. Now we have the ability to learn about anything - at the tip of our fingers.
We get to make money in ways that allows us to live a life of freedom.
Now, please understand that working hard is still a priority.
Being diligent and driven is an amazing quality and it is necessary.
Work hard on the things you love and push for your dreams.
Maybe you love…To do woodwork - If you need more on woodwork, take a course - then and start a YouTube channel and get paid.
To do home decor - Take pictures and videos of what you do - then make how-to videos or blogs and put on Pinterest and get paid.
You love marketing - Find products that people need and promote them on a website and or platform and get paid.
I could go on and on…
Like I mentioned, the opportunities are endless. WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER.
Make a life that is simpler.
Love your life and love what you do. You know what happens when you do this? People see it. They want to live that life too. And they want to know how you are doing it. You will inspire not only the people around you, but you show your children a life of possibilities!
